The starting point
ACOJER has spent decades helping people with gambling addiction and their families in Córdoba. Its previous website held years of news, activities and photos that could not be lost.
The new one had to feel calm, with nothing reminiscent of a betting shop, and let the association keep it alive on its own.
What the website includes
A dashboard for the association
They log in with their Google account and publish news, activities, notices, photos and documents, with a preview before saving.
Nothing is lost
More than a hundred news items, dozens of activities and albums, and hundreds of photos brought over from the previous website, with their old addresses redirected.
Events as a calendar
Each activity is drawn as a bar across the days it lasts and can be added to Google Calendar or the phone’s calendar.
Ask for help in one click
Phone and WhatsApp always at hand, and a section that explains gambling addiction without jargon.
How it is built
No database: the content lives in files that the dashboard saves, and the website rebuilds itself in a couple of minutes, so it is fast, cheap to run and keeps a copy of every change. It stores nothing in the visitor’s browser, which is why it needs no cookie banner.
