How to attract new patients to your dental, physio or vet clinic
New patients for your clinic start on Google Maps and decide on your website. What they search for and how to make the first appointment easy.

Whether it is a dental, physiotherapy or vet clinic, almost all new patients find you the same way. They search on their phone, compare two or three nearby options and call the one that inspires most trust. Getting new patients for your clinic therefore depends on appearing in that search and winning that comparison.
What new patients look for in a clinic
Searches tend to be very specific: "emergency dentist near me", "physio for knee pain", "vet open Saturday". Behind them there is a need and, often, some urgency. So the information that weighs most is practical: where you are, when you open, whether you handle emergencies and how much it costs.
A complete Google Maps listing
It is the first thing people see. So check that it has:
- The right category and your services added.
- Real opening hours, including holidays and summer.
- Photos of the entrance, reception and rooms.
- Phone number and a link to your website.
- Recent reviews, with replies.
Google explains what it weighs in its tips to improve your local ranking. There is a full guide in Google Business Profile.
One page per treatment
A general "services" page with one line per treatment says very little. By contrast, a page for implants, another for orthodontics or one for sports physiotherapy answers whoever searches for that. Each page should explain what it involves, who it is for, how long it takes and a guide price.
For dental clinics, there are more details in the dental clinic website guide. For physiotherapy, see what a physiotherapist's website needs. And for vets, read website for vet clinics.
The team, with faces and names
Before a first visit, patients feel reassured knowing who will see them. Real photos of the team, their speciality and registration number build far more trust than stock images. Also, a short line from each person makes the clinic feel closer.
How to make the first appointment easy
- A tappable phone number and WhatsApp in a visible place on mobile.
- Emergencies highlighted, with what to do out of hours.
- Online booking for first visits or check-ups.
- Clear directions and parking information.
If you want people to book without calling, see online booking website. Then a reminder the day before greatly reduces no-shows.
Reviews: the final push for new patients
Between two similar clinics, people usually pick the one with more and better reviews. Ask for feedback when treatment has gone well, with a direct link. In addition, reply to every review, including negative ones, calmly and without patient details.

Frequently asked questions
Should I publish treatment prices?
At least guide prices or "from" prices. It is one of the most searched things and it filters out people who do not fit.
Does online booking work for a clinic?
Yes, especially for first visits and check-ups. Complex treatments can still be booked by phone.
How many photos do I need?
About ten good photos of the clinic and the team are enough to start.
How much does a website for my clinic cost?
At Nueva Página, from €349 + VAT where applicable as a one-off payment, and €599 with online booking.
